Nissan Canada is teaming up with FLO, an electric vehicle charging company, to introduce two initiatives for new car buyers in Canada that may help boost adoption for the OEM and raise awareness about FLO.

The first initiative will see Nissan Canada customers who buy or lease a new Nissan EV — along with the OEM's EV Care protection package — benefit from complementary FLO charging credits. The second initiative involves broadening access to FLO's residential EV chargers by selling them at Nissan dealerships across the country.

"We’re thrilled to provide $150 in charging credits to new Nissan EV drivers with their Nissan EV Care protection package," said Ben Lee, President of Nissan Canada Extended Services, in a statement. "Additionally, Nissan customers will be able to purchase the FLO Home charger directly from Nissan Canada dealerships."

With access to the FLO charging network, Nissan EV owners will be able to use FLO's Level 2 and DC fast chargers — which they said are located coast-to-coast across Canada and the United States.

"These new initiatives with Nissan are only the beginning of our joint commitment to accelerating EV adoption in North America, and we look forward to growing this relationship," said FLO President and CEO Louis Tremblay, in a statement.

"As we broaden our electric vehicles offering, we are excited to collaborate with FLO to bring charging even closer to our customers," said Ben Lee, President of Nissan Canada Extended Services, in a statement.

The company boasts a 98 per cent network uptime.
